Welcome to John Swett Elementary School
We are excited to have you be a part of the John Swett family! We truly have a family atmosphere here, and we want students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in their time here. "The John Swett community will provide a solid foundation that fosters rigor, relevance, socialization and self-reliance in a changing world," is our Mission Statement, and we want this for all of our students.
We are a TK-5th grade campus and proudly have a TK-5th PALS program that specifically serves students who have autism. We also have students with an IEP who are supported through our Resource Learning Center. John Swett, along with the Martinez Unified School District, uses the Bridges Math Program and Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing ELA program. For our Social Emotional learning, we incorporate the Choose Love Program throughout the school year.
There is an active PTA at John Swett that organizes and hosts various events throughout the school. The PTA provides extra opportunities for students through community science, Roadrunner Reading, and the purchase of computer applications that assist in the classroom.
We hope everyone enjoys their time being a John Swett Roadrunner!
Sincerely,
Mike Cannon
